1. LATE NIGHT OPEN MIC
Monday, March 20, 2017 9:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Feeling a pretty regular case of the Monday blues? Come let your inner poetic soul free at this bi-monthly open mic! Hosted inside of a movie theater, there will be pizza, booze, prizes and of course all sorts of random entertainment from your fellow Oakland-ites. Learn more here.

2. DJ MUSTARD: THE 1015 RESIDENCY
Saturday, March 23, 2017, 10:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
“Mustard on the beat, heaux!” One of hip-hop’s most popular producers has signed on to be a resident DJ at the super-lit 1015 Folsom club. If your stamina is on point, get ready for a night of twerk-inducing trap beats and all the top 40 hip-hop jams. Learn more here.

3. NEW SCHOOL DAZE
Saturday, March 25, 2017, 10:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
Join HBCU young alums, Greeks, millennials and all your homies for a night of old school vibes with a new school twist. This party has hit every major city in the USA and is finally touching down in the city of Oakland for what is sure to be the ultimate college-reunion-style turn-up. Learn more here.

4. BLACK JOY + ART
Saturday, March 25, 2017, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The Museum of the African Diaspora (MOAD) Vanguard has been on a roll this year. They’ve consistently thrown some of the most thoughtful events and this one is no different. This three hour community healing space is meant to promote, practice and preserve self-love and black joy. Learn more here.

5. BEYONCE DANCE CLASS
Friday, March 24, 2017, 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
James Alsop, one of Beyonce’s most renowned choreographers, will be in the Bay to teach a master class on the moves that have catapulted stars like Lady Gaga, Janelle Monae, and of course, Beyonce, to fame. Learn more here.

6. WE BRUNCH ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY
Saturday, March 25, 2017, 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

7. BLACK COFFEE SUNDAY

Black Coffee Sunday aims to offer a space for fun, as well as an environment for sharing and healing. The folks of Them People productions are all about self-care and staying woke, but they’re definitely not above getting lit on a Sunday. The Bay Area’s quintessential “storytelling” podcast is back with their third season and they want you come out to help them celebrate! The podcast where Black Millennials tell true-life stories will be hosting a night of just that: true stories, in the flesh. Come kick it and hear the excruciating, embarrassing and endearing tales. 9. FRESH OUT DAY PARTY BY BROCOLLETE

The Broccollete ladies are passionate about making wellness cool, fun and sexy so they’ve curated a beautiful experience in day party format.
