1. THE GALA 2/13 AT AMFM
Monday, February 13, 2017, 8:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
Hosted by Kendria K Love Harris, this is another installment of The Gala, a live open mic series for upcoming Chicago artists. Featured artists include acclaimed poet Jose Guadalupe Olivarez and musical guests Bassel & the Supernaturals. Doors open at 8:00 p.m. Learn more here.

2. VALENTINE’S DAY LOVE AND LAUGHTER
Tuesday, February 14, 2017, 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
This Valentine’s Day, venture down to the Promontory (Hyde Park) for a night of love and laughter. Experience a fantastic comedy line-up, passionate ambience, and good ole happiness. The lineup: Just Nesh, Da Wild Cat, BLT, and Gemini Porter. Learn more here.

3. THE GET DOWN ARTIST SHOWCASE
Wednesday, February 15, 2017, 8:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
Tony Famous is celebrating the release of his debut project “The Get Down,” and he wants you to join in on the fun. Come enjoy the best undiscovered talent Chicago has to offer alongside Mr. Famous himself this Thursday at The Elbo Room. Admission is only $5. Learn more here.

4. MID MONTH MIXER (DELEON TEQUILA SPONSORED)
Thursday, February 16, 2017, 6:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
This week, M Lounge is hosting a mixer exclusively for Chicago professionals. Mix, mingle and soak up the vibe at one of the nicest lounges in Chicago’s South Loop. DJ Diesel & Jukie Made This Trak are provided as the musical selection. Early arrival is suggested. Learn more here.

5. GROWN FOLKS STORIES @ DUSABLE MUSEUM
Thursday, February 16, 2017, 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
The Silver Room just announced that their next Grown Folks Stories will take place at the Dusable Museum of African American History. As usual, you get five minutes to speak your mind. 6. NAPPI HOUR
Friday, February 17, 2017, 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Afrotrak presents Nappi Hour, the reggae infused after work party at Velvet Lounge. Come let your hair down and vibe out to reggae and afrobeats all night. There will be a live performance by Chai Tulani with additional music from Bonita Appleblunt and DJ L O Kari. This event is free with an RSVP. Learn more here.

7. FREEDOM PARTY CHICAGO
Friday, February 17, 2017, 9:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
NYC’s longest running Friday night dance party (and winner of Village Voice’s “Best Dance Party 2015”) hits Chicago the third Friday of every month for the illest new jam in the Midwest. Hundreds of people from all over the place will descend upon this dope venue for a one-of-a-kind party experience. This is strictly classic hip-hop, R&B, reggae, pop, house, rock, funk, disco and soul from the 60s through today, with an emphasis on the 80s and 90s, by Kwest_on, Djcosi Levy and Herbert Holler! 8. CHICAGO WHISKEY & WINE FESTIVAL
Saturday, February 18, 2017, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Enjoy over 40 wines and whiskeys and treat yourself to a fun and unique experience at the iconic Joe’s Bar on Weed Street! Your ticket includes admission to the tasting event, a souvenir tasting glass, tastings of 40+ whiskeys & wines, entertainment and so much more. 9. FADED SESSIONS
Saturday, February 18, 2017, 12:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
Calling all artists, producers, songwriters, musicians, and creatives. Moor Music Productions, Faded Recording Studios, and APGTV Media have teamed up to bring you the dopest studio networking event in Chicago. 10. MARDI GRAS SINGLES MINGLE PAJAMA JAM
