1. DURHAM YOUNG PROFESSIONAL NETWORK ANNIVERSARY PARTY

Why should kids have all the fun? Relive your childhood days with blast-from-the-past games at the Marbles Kids Museum. Proceeds support exhibits and programs at Marbles, a nonprofit organization which encourages children to learn new things through imagination, discovery and play. Must be 21 or older. 7. KRIMSON KOUTOURE

The Knightdale-Wake Forest Alumnae chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Capital City Kappas of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. unite to celebrate their 104 and 106 years of service, respectively. 10. AFRICAN-AMERICAN THEATER PREVIEW EVENT

Celebrate the rich and diverse season of African-American theater in the Triangle! The Triangle Friends of African American Arts will host a preview of upcoming 2017 shows by local performing arts organizations. The evening will include dramatic readings, songs and commentaries from playwrights. Admission is free.
