1. RITES OF PASSAGE PANCAKE FUNDRAISER
Monday, December 5, 2016, 10:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.
Support the Durham Business and Professional Chain’s pancake fundraiser for their nationally-acclaimed Rites of Passage (ROP) program. ROP provides mentorship to young African-American males ages 13 to 17. To date, more than 450 young men and their families have benefited from the program. Learn more here. 

2. AFF & FRIENDS TOUR
Monday, December 5, 2016, 8:00 p.m.
The Aff & Friends tour kicks off in Durham with NC artists Defacto Thezpian, DJ Johnny Storm, Kamus, Danny Blaze, Crosby, Alex Aff and DJ DCM. Come listen to the next generation of urban music royalty. Learn more here.

3. BULL CITY HAPPY HOUR
Thursday, December 8, 2016, 5:30 – 9:00 p.m.

4. 2016 BLACK & OLD GOLD BALL
Friday, December 9, 2016, 7:00 p.m. – 11:59 p.m.
Kick off your holiday season in style with the Phi Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated as they celebrate their 90th anniversary at the ‘Black and Old Gold Ball.’ Proceeds will support the Phi Lambda Educational Foundation. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Learn more here.

5. NAPPY ROOTS @ POUR HOUSE MUSIC HALL
Saturday, December 10, 2016, 8:00 p.m. – Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016, 1:30 a.m.
Southern rap quartet, Nappy Roots, bring their soulful lyrics and Kentucky swagger to North Carolina. The group is best known for their hit singles “Po’ Folks,” “Awnaw,” “Roun’ The Globe” and “Good Day.” Learn more here.

6. THE CITY BALLET PRESENTS ‘THE NUTCRACKER’

City Ballet Raleigh presents their annual performance of Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker.” The highly anticipated holiday hit will feature guest artists from Carolina Ballet. Learn more here.

Saturday, December 10, 2016 – shows at 7:00 p.m. & 9:00 p.m.
