1. ANDRA DAY @ HOUSE OF BLUES
Tuesday, December 6, 2016, 7:00 p.m.
Listen to her soulful sound live. Andra has been described as “possessed by the ghost of Billie Holiday,” boasting flawless jazz chops that she can apply to her varied musical influences with equal ease. Her hit song “Rise Up,” which Andra describes as “a song about any type of relationship.” She says, “I look at all of us as brothers and sisters and a body working together. ‘Rise Up’ is saying one piece isn’t better than the other, and when one part is struggling, I’m going to help and lift you up. 2. NENE LEAKES @ THE IMPROV
Wednesday, December 7, 2016, 7:30 p.m.
Yes, she is now doing comedy ladies and gents. Check out your Queen of reality television hit the stage to make you laugh on purpose at the Arlington Improv. She’s done sitcoms, Broadway, and now stand up so I’m pretty positive this will be interesting.  Learn more here.  

3. COAST 2 COAST LIVE – ARTIST SHOWCASE
Wednesday, December 7, 2016, 9:00 p.m.
Coast 2 Coast LIVE is an interactive artist showcase that brings together artists, DJs, producers, media and more for a professional networking event. The judges are some very influential people, so aspiring artist you might want to stop through. DJ Drop, CEO of Definition DJs, just to name one. Learn more here

4. CONCEPTION ART SHOW
Thursday, December 8, 2016, 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Join Olufela “Fela” Raymond  as he showcases some of his best work during an evening of contemporary art, networking and libations at Community Beer. Conception exhibits have been featured in The Wall Street Journal and ABC news and offer collectors the opportunity to purchase work directly from local artists at the tipping point of their career. 5. CHOCOLATE + ART SHOW
Thursday, December 8, 2016, 8:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
Come out and enjoy an evening of art dedicated to local artists hailing from the Dallas area. Come for a fun night of live music, incredible artwork, live body painting and free chocolate. Over 100 of Texas’s emerging artists, photographers and fashion designers have submitted their work for you to enjoy, so come out and support your local talent. Learn more here.  

6. BLACK ON BLACK 
Friday and Saturday, December 9 – 10, 2016, 6:30 p.m.
The Dallas Black Dance Theater present: Black on Black as they showcase the choreography skills and create dance works for their peers to perform. Attendees will also get to enjoy an after-hours party with music, light bites, and cocktails. Watch them dance, then get ready to dance with a drink in your hand afterwards.  Learn more here

7. 2ND ANNUAL  RED + WHITE AFFAIR   
Friday, December 9, 2016, 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Support a cause. The Unchained Life Scholarship gives out a $500 scholarship every year to an African American male high school senior that will be attending college in the fall as a first year freshman. Support this cause by donating to the goal scholarship and bringing a toy to gift to their adopted family. Live music will be provided by The Black Renaissance Band so you definitely don’t want to miss tha. Learn more here.

8. 3RD ANNUAL NIGHT OF VISION
Saturday, December 10, 2016, 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Ever wanted to create a vision board? Yeah, I have too. So if that’s the case, you should be here. Night of Vision is an event for women empowerment that will help you create your wildest dreams through vision boards! You will be inspired by two amazing speakers CEO of Myavana Cadance Victoria Mitchell and Creator and Host of Dating of with Purpose Ashley Brown. Supplies will provided, just B.Y.O.Board. 9. GRITS + BISCUITS 
Saturday, December 10, 2016, 9:00 p.m.
E.Z. Mo Breezy and the crew have finally brought The “Dirty South Set” to Dallas (super excited), so get ready to be lit all night long! For those who don’t know, Grits + Biscuits is a premiere entertainment concept that celebrates the southern experience through urban music, cultural connections and nightlife moves in a down home environment. 10. SOULFUL SOUNDS @ THE W DALLAS HOTEL
Sunday, December 11, 2016, 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
The W Dallas Hotel has been real soulful/urban in 2016, and we love it! Start the evening off with the smooth sounds of DJ Suga Bear and sit back and enjoy your dinner or just relax and enjoy a cocktail of your choice from the bar during dinner/happy hour from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. After that, Comedian Edwin Douglas will be bringing the laughs and keep the party going, as well as Platinum recording artist Quindon Tarver will be showcasing his vocal talents, and many other artist.
