There’s always something going to do in Chi-town! Check out my curated event list for Black professionals this week!

1. KARAOKE WITH THE CANDIDATES
Wednesday, November 2, 2016, 7:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Attention all Black professionals! Come out to 15/20 Lounge for a jam-packed night with your local candidates. State representative, Camille Y. Lilly, and Cook County States Attorney Democratic nominee, Kim Foxx, will be getting out to vote and you should too. Learn more here.

2. LEGEND ENTERTAINMENT SEMINAR ANNOUNCEMENT PARTY
Thursday, November 3-5 2016 8:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
Join Legend Entertainment Group as they present their Legend Entertainment Seminar. It is a series that will show independent and up and coming artists how to empower and brand themselves in new, innovative ways. All artists and entertainers are welcome to this weekend long party. 3. BLACK GIRL MAGIC
Thursday, November 3, 2016, 10:00 p.m. – 4:00 a.m.
Chicago’s most magical Queen’s come together to bring you Black Girl Magic. Come out to Berlin Nightclub to experience Lucy Stoole, Shea Coulee, Dida Ritz and The Vixen serve all on one stage. Ariel Zetina and Josh Maggio will be serving up the music with Petty Crocker as host. Learn more here.

4. BULLS VS. KNICKS WATCH PARTY
Friday, November 4, 2016, 6:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
Fli Nation, the entertainment group that brought you the Summer Soiree, is hosting an official watch party for the Bulls vs. Knicks game this Friday. If you are not busy, come out to Society 2201. The game starts at 7:00 p.m. Learn more here.

5. COLORS: A SOULFUL EXPERIENCE
Friday, November 4, 2016, 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Chicago’s own Joshua L Ishmon and Sam Trump are joining forces to put on a one-of-a-kind art experience at the Chicago Cultural Center. Colors: A Soulful Experience is a stage production that explores an emotional spectrum of colors through combining concert and social dance with soulfully constructed music. 6. SILENT TOTAL FITNESS

Urban Fetes is taking their Silent Party series to a whole other level by partnering with Good Deeds Crew to create the Silent Total Fitness experience. That’s right, Silent Party meets workout session in this fitness camp which goes down this Saturday. The event will feature three different workout stations: cycling, total body and yoga. 7. CHICAGO FOOD TRUCK FEST FALL SOCIAL
Saturday, November 5, 2016, 10:00 a.m. – Sunday, November 7, 2016, 7:00 p.m.
This year, Chicago Food Truck Festival will host its inaugural fall food truck social at Northerly Island. This event will feature gourmet food trucks and their fall drink lineup: hot cocoa, hot cider, hot toddies, water and soda. There will be games, bonfires and so much more. Learn more here.

8. TOAST AND JAMS: BRUNCH x DAY PARTY
Sunday, November 6, 2016, 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

10. C.A.M AT THE STAR BAR

Afton Shows presents C.A.M at Star Bar for a real hip-hop experience this Sunday. The Chicago native, who’s chopped it up with some of the greatest rappers in the city (Add-2, Lee Roundtree, etc.), plans to give you a show that you won’t forget.
