1. BEER AND COOKIES

Cookies and beer goes together right? Well, for this event they do. Gordon Biersch is offering a 11.5 ounce signature beer and a fresh baked cookie for $3. Learn more here

2. KC PLAZA FOUNTAIN VIEW PAINTING
Wednesday, September 7, 2016, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Come paint the Country Club Plaza’s iconic fountain while enjoying drink specials at Barrel 31. There’s also plenty of space for you to enjoy your dinner while painting too. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased online. Learn more here

3. SCREENING OF “3 1/2 MINUTES 10 BULLETS”
Thursday, September 8, 2016 7:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
“3 1/2 Minutes, 10 Bullets” is a documentary that chronicles the murder trial of Michael Dunn, the man who fired shots into a car at a Florida gas station killing black teen, Jordan Davis, after an altercation over loud music. Learn more here.

4. KC COMEDY FESTIVAL
Friday, September 9th – Sunday, September 11, 2016
Get ready to laugh! This annual stand-up comedy festival is designed to showcase local and national comedians. Learn more here

5. DANCEFESTOPIA
Friday, September 9, 2016 – Sunday, September 11, 2016
Dancefestopia is a 3-day dance music festival. More than 100 artists will perform non-stop on 3 stages. Organizers say this will be the biggest festival ever with helicopter tours, canoe trips, zip lines and fireworks. Learn more here

6. ARSENIO HALL
Friday, September 9 – Saturday, September 10, 2016, various showtimes
This man needs no introduction. Arsenio Hall will grace the Kansas City Improv’s stage for a two-night show. Tickets are $25. Learn more here

7. RED FRIDAY KICKOFF PARTY
Friday, September 9, 2016, 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
The Kansas City Chiefs’ season opener is on September 11 against the San Diego Chargers. Before we get the season started, join the Chiefs and fans for the Red Friday Kickoff Party in the Power and Light District. There will be live music, drink specials and live performances. Learn more here

8. INK PRESENTS FIRST BITE
Friday, September 9, 2016, 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Join Ink for an exclusive happy hour at SoT, Kansas City’s newest elevated cocktail bar. Tickets are $25 and include complimentary drinks and small bites. Proceeds will benefit the Great Plains SPCA. Learn more here

9. END OF THE WORLD PUB CRAWL
Saturday, September 10, 2016 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The challenge is simple. Crawl to all of the participating bars while avoiding zombies. Sounds easy? If a zombie takes your life (a flag that will be provided to you with registration) you lose out on chances to win prizes. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased online. Learn more here

10. 18th  ANNUAL DANCE IN THE PARK
Saturday, September 10, 2016 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Local dance companies will perform on an outdoor stage. The concert will feature different dance styles like West African, aerial dance, ballet and hip-hop. Learn more here
