Favorite Happy Hour and Why: Verlaine’s (110 Rivington Street, New York, NY 10002) down in the lower east side, it’s a super chill spot and I don’t know many places that have happy hour until 10pm, plus the drink are good!
Favorite Brunch Spot and Why: I’m a brunch hopper and love any place that has unlimited drinks but one of my favorite places that I don’t get to visit as often as I like is Yotel (570 Tenth Avenue, New York, NY 10036). They have unlimited food AND drinks. It’s the best.
Favorite Lounge and Why: (I’m going to pick a coffee lounge because practically every lounge in NYC doubles as a bar and then we are right back to my favorite Happy Hour place.) A coffee spot in the Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn, called Urban Vintage (294 Grand Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11238). It holds up to its name with a cozy vintage feel. I spend hours lounging there on Sundays and I love that its a family run business, owned by two sisters.
Favorite Date Spot and Why: Miniature Golf at Pier 23. I like fun, interactive dates. You can always go out to eat or drink but this is a little more fun plus it allows me a chance to see my date’s personality and how their mind works. Yeah, Im strategic like that.
Favorite Travel Destination and Why: Morocco!! From Marrakesh to Fez and the Sahara Desert, it’s such an amazing, magical place + leather is ridiculously cheap.
Your City’s Best Kept Secret and Why: There is this bodega in Fort Green that makes the best damn hoagie, hero, sub (whatever you want to call it). You would never know by looking at it that they serve sandwiches much less great ones but the line wraps around the store. My best friend put me onto it. Apparently those that know, know. Otherwise you are SOL.
